Our clinic model has evolved after more than a decade of dedicated patient service and we’re committed to lead the future of medical cannabis access in Canada.
To empower and inspire Canadians to live their best life-
By providing accessible services that support medical cannabis patients and their healthcare teams across Canada, adapting to the needs of the community and providing expert knowledge transfer and education.
Sora Care is born from an identified need of patients and healthcare professionals across Canada. The Sora Care team includes a long list of Canada’s dedicated medical cannabis experts, collaborating in a multi-disciplinary model to drive the future of access, equity and advancement.
Co-founders Erin Prosk and Dr. Danial Schecter have each dedicated more than 10 years of development to medical cannabis clinical practice, research, medical education and training. Founding their respective clinics in 2014, Santé Cannabis and Cannabinoid Medical Clinic, the organizations collaborated to establish medical cannabis clinic standards in the early days of Canada’s ‘Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations’.
Our clinical model is described in the first publication of a medical cannabis clinic, available here.
More than just a prescription, medical cannabis care means patient-centred assessment and education, to empower patients to achieve the best possible treatment outcomes.
Finally working together under the same virtual ‘roof’, Erin and Danial have brought together a team of experienced medical cannabis clinicians, including family doctors and specialists and cannabis educators with a focus on patient advocacy, education and clinical data collection.
With a shared vision for medical cannabis treatments to be integrated as complementary health products and medicines, the Sora Care team strives to advance equitable access for patients in every corner of Canada.
