The following private insurance providers have some insurance coverage for medical cannabis treatments:
Eligibility criteria are based on specific medical conditions and history and vary between each insurance provider.
The most common conditions that are eligible for coverage are for patients living with symptoms of cancer or chemotherapy, neurologic conditions including Multiple Sclerosis (MS), epilepsy, spinal cord injury, rheumatoid arthritis, neuropathic pain or symptoms of HIV/AIDS.
Other private insurance plans may have coverage available via a Health Spending Account.
